The Cronin Group, LLC is pleased to announce that Michael Kineavy will be joining the team as Chief Operating Officer starting Feb. 3, 2014. As the Cronin Group, LLC expands and diversifies our portfolio of investments and services, the Chief Operating Officer’s role will be critical to managing the ongoing daily operations, helping develop new opportunities for growth, and driving our strong commitment to community investment and philanthropic activities. 

 Michael has been the Chief of Policy and Planning for the City of Boston and served as a close advisor to Mayor Thomas M. Menino for the past 20 years - leaving his post this past January. Michael led dozens of efforts that successfully improved neighborhood livability, vibrancy, sustainability, and safety. He was a key supporter and strategist for Boston's bicycle transit solutions, the Chair of its Problem Properties Task force, and a founder of the popular Neighborhood Response Teams. 

 He has also been a close confidant and advisor to many political candidates and campaigns both locally and nationally. His work in helping people with addiction and other life challenges has been recognized numerous times throughout his career. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from the University of Massachusetts Boston and is a member of several boards of directors for local foundations and institutions.
